China Unicom announced at the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2024 that it has built more than 30,000 5G scale application projects, including over 4,000 5G factories.

The projects covered all parts of China, including two state-level demonstration projects in Zhejiang Province jointly developed by China Unicom, Zeekr Factory and CIMC Logistics.

China Unicom also launched "Yiying", a foundation model based on the Yuanjing foundation model system. Yiying supported the automated design process from text input to pattern generation, reducing the time it takes to create a clothing design to 3 seconds.
