BIDU-SW (09888.HK)  -0.550 (-0.669%)    Short selling $93.89M; Ratio 43.193%   and UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK)  +0.400 (+0.402%)   announced a strategic partnership to explore the application of AI foundation models and humanoid robots in China, accelerating the construction of new quality productive forces and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of AI and humanoid robotics industry.

According to the partnership plan, UBTECH's humanoid robot "Walker S" will connect with BIDU's Ernie foundation model for task scheduling application development through Baidu AI Cloud's Qianfan AppBuilder platform, which can quickly build up task planning and execution capabilities.

When completing tasks such as soft object operation and object interference sorting, Walker S relies on the terminal-side multi-modal perception model to obtain spatial positioning and semantic information. The information is then passed to the Ernie foundation model for task understanding and planning, organising the precise cooperative operation of robotic arms and dexterous hands to complete the task.
