SK Hynix weighs to produce customized sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory "HBM4" at 3nm in 2H25, instead of the original 5nm process, with the performance expected to be heightened by 20-30%, foreign media reported, citing sources. SK Hynix decided to cooperate with TSMC (TSM.US) to develop HBM4, and the major shipping customer is Nvidia (NVDA.US). SK Hynix is rumored to have switched to TSMC's 3nm technology to produce HBM4 in response to Samsung's statement that it would produce HBM4 in 4nm. Samsung is now also considering producing HBM4 in 3nm and may even choose TSMC's 3nm technology. AAStocks Financial News |
