MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) co-founder Wang Huiwen, also the founder of AI start-up company Light Year AI Limited, returned to Meituan to lead the exploration of AI applications, and his AI team is called GN06, 36Kr quoted sources as saying. Public recruitment requirements showed that GN06's current key business directions include emotional companionship and chatbots. The team provides candidates with “boundless AI trial opportunities”, while Wang interviews and screens candidates for product and operational roles. GN06 is directly managed by Wang and does not belong to any business group, sources divulged. In addition, GN06 is relatively independent within Meituan, focusing on exploring directions outside of its main business. It is also independent from Meituan's existing foundation model team and AI teams in various business lines.
